Frequently asked questions

What does it cost?

Access is free during our launch phase and no payment system is active. If we introduce paid plans in the future we will announce them in advance, and the new terms will not apply retroactively to content you have already published.

Do I have to give you my social passwords?

Never. Every channel is connected via OAuth: you sign in on the platform's own site, which hands us back a token carrying only the permissions needed to publish. You can revoke it whenever you like, from the platform's settings or by disconnecting the channel in SmartSocial.

Where is the data hosted?

On a dedicated server in the European Union (Lauterbourg, France). Each account works in a separate workspace: your posts and channels are not visible to other users.

Can I delete my account and my content?

Yes. You can disconnect channels at any time, and request deletion of your account and data at the address on the support page. Deletion removes the platform access tokens; posts already published stay on the social networks, since at that point they belong to your profile and only you can remove them there.

What happens if a publication fails?

The post stays on the calendar in an error state, with the message the platform returned (an expired token, say, or a video format it would not accept). You can fix it and republish without rewriting everything.

Are the files I upload private?

Uploaded media is reachable at a public, unindexed address. This is technically necessary, because social platforms download the file from our server at publishing time. For that reason, do not upload confidential material that is not meant to become public.

Who is responsible for what I publish?

You are. The content remains yours and must comply with each platform's community guidelines and terms, as well as our Terms of Service. SmartSocial is the tool that delivers it, not its author.
