Connect your accounts
In the Channels section you pick a platform and complete its official login. Authorization happens on the platform's own site: we only ever receive a token, never your password.
Write and tailor
Compose the post once. For each selected channel you can change the copy, the media and platform-specific options — on TikTok, for instance, who can see the video, whether comments, duets and stitches are enabled, and whether the content is promotional.
Schedule and publish
Pick a date and time, or publish right away. Every post's status is on the calendar: scheduled, published or failed, with the message the platform returned.
The TikTok integration, in detail
TikTok is the platform with the most rules to honour, so it is worth spelling out. Connecting uses the official Login with TikTok: the TikTok window opens, you see the list of requested permissions and you approve them yourself. SmartSocial receives an access token and a refresh token, and never sees your credentials.
Requested permissions and what they are for

The settings you choose, for every video
Before scheduling a video you set the values below in the composer, and SmartSocial sends them to TikTok exactly as they are, unchanged:
- Who can see the video — everyone, mutual-follow friends, followers only, or just you. The list of available options is requested from TikTok at that moment, so a private account cannot accidentally publish a public video.
- Comments, duets and stitches — on or off, per video.
- Commercial content — if the video promotes you or a third-party brand, the disclosure is sent to TikTok and displayed on the video as the branded-content rules require.
- AI-generated content — if the video was made with AI tools you can declare it, and the declaration travels with the content.
- Direct post or draft — you can have the video go live at the scheduled time, or upload it as a draft and finish it in the TikTok app.
What SmartSocial does not do on TikTok
- It publishes nothing you have not composed and scheduled: there is no automatic posting and nothing goes out without your involvement.
- It does not read your direct messages, follow accounts or interact with other people's content.
- It does not sell, share or use your TikTok account data for profiling or advertising.
- It does not retain data beyond what the service needs: when you disconnect the channel the tokens are deleted and access ends immediately.
Responsibility for content
Published content remains yours and your responsibility: it must comply with each platform's community guidelines and terms, as well as our Terms of Service. SmartSocial is the tool that delivers it, not its author.
